this story starts with a determined girl.
Once upon a time, a young middle school girl at Douglasville, Georgia started braiding hair in her neighborhood, to make extra money. Her bonus dad would play apart in her experience, as he was a 20-year vet in the Atlanta hair game.
The idea took off like a rocket on launch day. The magical touch: one hand-written paper flyer affixed with two small pieces of transparent tape. The bottom paper contact section encouraged 5 people in need of hair service to reach out via phone.
Timing was spot on. For a while the presence of sweet cash created a tribe of small butterflies in her stomach. But later, her large brown eyes perceived something brewing when her mom bought home moving boxes.
What was happening?
Her whispers were confirmed two weeks later when her mom coldly stated: we moving. Now her territory would become unwrapped for someones disposal.
The rest is history.
